All memorials given toward an item(s) on this preferred list shall be used toward that item(s). You may certainly give toward a desired project not on the preferred list, but the Council of Deacons cannot guarantee that the project will be done (especially if additional funds to complete the project must be supplied by the congregation). If after reasonable consideration, the Council of Deacons feels that a memorial project proposed by an individual donor does not meet the needs of the congregation, it will recommend moving the contribution to a preferred memorial.

Our Benefactors

Picture
Mr. and Mrs. Bennie Blom were married for 71 years. They died only two days apart in May of 2016. Bennie (1920-2016) was a WW II veteran who served our country in both the north and south Pacific areas of the war effort. Alice (1925-2016) was confirmed here at St. Paul Lutheran Church in 1940. The couple was married in 1945. After he returned from the war in January of 1946, the couple resided on their farm in Lake Belt Township where they lived until retiring to Welcome in 1994. The Bloms were faithful members of this congregation. Bennie was a volunteer worker during the construction of our church, and Alice helped serve funeral lunches as a younger woman. They typically attended the 10:30 a.m. service. They left their entire estate to our congregation. Blessed be the memory of Bennie and Alice Blom.
