Applications are due annually on or before August 1st. All scholarships awarded will be given out by September 15th.

V. H. Harley Scholarship Applications The V. H. Harley Scholarship Fund is available for needy students in our Lutheran high schools, colleges, and seminaries, and we want to give an advance reminder to anyone who is eligible to fill out an application for the scholarship. Forms can be picked up in the church secretary’s office, emailed to you upon request, or you can print out a copy by clicking on the button on this page. The completed applications are due back in the church office by the August 1st deadline. This scholarship is for SPL Fairmont members. The V. H. Harley Scholarship Committee will then review applications and approved recipients will receive their scholarships by September 15th. WORKER RESOURCES / SCHOLARSHIPS AND FINANCIAL AID
Student aid is available to communicant members of Minnesota South District congregations. Applicants shall be enrolled as a professional church worker student or be on the roster of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod (graduate students). Undergraduate course work must be taken at a college or seminary operated by The Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod. Seminary students who are enrolled in residential or general SMP programs are eligible for the financial aid program administered under this policy; EIIT students and SMP Church Planters qualify for financial assistance under the Mission policies of the District.
Graduate students may be enrolled in a program outside of a college or seminary operated by the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod. Programs must benefit the ministry of the LCMS and be approved by an MNS district staff member designated by the District President. The amount of student aid to be provided will be determined on the basis of District policy and funds available.
