OUR BENEFACTORS...
Mr. and Mrs. Bennie Blom were married for 71 years. They died only two days apart in May of 2016. Bennie (1920-2016) was a WW II veteran who served our country in both the north and south Pacific areas of the war effort. Alice was confirmed here at St. Paul Lutheran Church in 1939. The couple was married in 1945. After he returned from the war in January of 1946, the couple resided on their farm in Lake Belt Township where they lived until retiring to Welcome in 1994. The Bloms were faithful members of this congregation. Bennie was a volunteer worker during the construction of our church, and Alice helped serve funeral lunches as a younger woman. They typically attended the 10:30 service. They left their entire estate to our congregation.
Blessed be the memory of Bennie and Alice Blom.

FUNERAL --  SERVING CONTACTS:
Judy Leiding (November to April) and Bonnie Taplin (May to October)
For by grace you have been saved through faith.
And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God,
not a result of works, so that no one may boast.
~Ephesians 2:8-9
